- From what age on, can kids join the ski school?

The average age for children to join the ski school is 3 years. We have a nursery camp, where we introduce skiing to the youngest in a fun and playfull way. For Snowboarding the kids can start from the age of 6 years old.

- What equipment is required for ski school?

The children need ski clothes, ski equipment including skies, boots and pols or snowboard, as well as sunglasses or goggles, suncream, kids in our ski school have to wear a safety helmet.

- Do the parents stay during the lessons?

We recommend that parents stay to meet the teacher and to secure that the kids are comfortable, otherwise during the lesson the kids are fully taken care of by our ski instructors.

- Is it possible to just book 1 day for group lessons?

It is possible, but not to be recommended, as our week lessons are designed for 5 days. It is possible to book 3 days, if the child is not sure about ski school, it can always be extended to 5 days.

- Is it possible to join a group in the middle of the week?

Basically the kids will be graded and divided into groups on Monday. If the children are not beginners, it is possible to join the group at another stage of the weekly course. Otherwise there is also the possibilty to take private lessons until the kid is at a stage to join a group.

- Where do we pick up the kids after the lesson?

The kids must be picked up at the ski school office (behind the Hotel Jungfrau).

- When is the ski race and where does it take place?

For children in a week course (minimum of 3 days) the ski race is free of charge and included in the weekly course cost. The skirace for 3 and 4 Star (Red and Black League) is on Thursday. The award ceremony takes place outside the ski school office of the same day around 16.30. For 2 Star racers (Blue League) the ski race is on Friday, the award ceremony takes place after the race on the Allmendhubel. For kids that are not booked into the ski school, it is possible to join the races, there will be a fee of Sfr. 15.00.

- Is it necessary to book in advance for group lessons?

We can not take reservations for group lessons. We kindly ask to come by to the ski school office one day prior to the lesson start to book the group lesson.

- Is the skipass included in the weekly course?

The skipass has to be bought seperatly at the Schilthornbahn or the Allmendhubelbahn.

- Do kids under the age of 6 years need a skipass?

Kids younger than 6 years get the Piccolo pass without confirmation from the skischool, the Piccolo pass can be bought at the Schilthorn station or Allmendhubelbahn. All children from 6 and 7 years old, need a confirmation from the ski school to get the Piccolo Pass. With the confirmation the Piccolo pass can be purchased at the Schilthorn station or Allmendhubelbahn. After 8 years on, the kids need a regular ski pass, for fees and options please ask at the Schilthorn station or Allmendhubelbahn.

- Meeting point?

For adults and children in class 1 and Nursery camp the meeting point is at the ski school. From class 2 (kids) the meeting point is at the top of the Allmendhubelbahn, same rule applies for Snowboarders.

- How early do we have to book private lessons?

Basically as early as possible, or at least until 17.00 the day before.

- Languages?

We speak German, English, French, Spanish, Italien, Portugeese and Dutch.

- What are the payment options?

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, Debit cards, Postcard and cash.

- Ski equipment and hire?

The ski equipment can be hired by one of the local sport shops, the ski school does not provide any equipment.
